PUBG corporation revokes the tencent's publishing rights in India

Earlier this month Government of India ban the most popular gaming app Pubg in India.

This is because the PUBG mobile is violating the data and user privacy policy of India. Though the PUBG corporation is the parent company in India the Mobile version of Pubg is operated by Tencent in India.

PUBG corporation revokes the tencent's publishing rights in India

Tencent is a Chinese based gaming company which has the complete right to publish PUBG mobile game in India. They store the user's data in a different location outside India.

According to china's policy, any company which comes under the Chinese government is bound to share the data with them. So these pose a serious threat to India's Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity of India.

SO, the Indian government decided to ban 118 mobile apps including Pubg mobile. After the ban of this app, the original developer of PUBG published a statement regarding the revoking of Tencent Games' publishing rights in India.

In this way, PUBG mobile will comply with all the guidelines of India and will soon back open for the Indian market. This is going to be interesting what will be the next move of the government in this situation?

It is worth noting that the statement only addresses Tencent's publishing rights in India but it does not remove it from its game developing section.

Tencent will still involve in the development of this game.

But if the Pubg corporation takes full control of India's business and stores all data in Indian servers then PUBG mobile game may be re-entered in India.
